Mark your calendars! It’s that time of the year again! We’re excited to announce that for the third year straight year, Atlantic Tire & Service will host the Atlantic Tire Championships, a United States Tennis Association (USTA) Pro Circuit event featuring top professional talent from the world of tennis. From September 11th through 17th, 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams will compete for $50,000 in total cash prizes.

The USTA Pro Circuit grants players the opportunity to gain professional ranking points in order to compete on major pro tours. It currently represents approximately 90 tournaments with nearly $3 million in prize money. Players ranked outside the top 50 in the world are eligible to compete in the tennis tournament, and the Atlantic Tire Championships typically attracts players with a world ranking of around 115. In fact, many of the players that compete in the Atlantic Tire Championships will have played in the US Open in New York, one of the four major global tennis tournaments.

Qualifying rounds will be held September 9th -10th, with the tournament matches following on September 11th.  Audiences will be able to enjoy fresh food catered by Tribeca Tavern, as well as University Night on September 12th, which will feature tennis matches between local college players, and a silent auction running throughout the week with memorabilia from NC State University, UNC, and Duke University.
